When the total purchase amount due is not a set confirmed amount the merchant may pre-authorize the purchase, which puts a hold on your E1 Card account for that amount. If you’re concerned about potential holds, contact the restaurant, rental car, or hotel ahead of time in inquire about their prepaid card policy so you can prepare accordingly.
